Day 2: Ahh the simple things...

... and how much I've forgotten about exercise, but we'll get to that in a sec. So I got up this morning, body slightly aching from yesterdays work out and thought to myself "ok, body doesn't feel too bad, lets get going". Got out the door and did my run. I was bit sluggish, but I did run further than I did yesterday by a good 200 metres, but I didn't quite reach my target of not stopping. Oh well, just keep trying.
Now when it came to do my exercise's I had a mental image of a younger version of myself saying "Hey stupid, you know it may be a good idea to have a rest day inbetween exercise or something like this will happen" where it felt like someone then proceeded to grab my abdomen and then crush it like a paper bag as I was doing situps. So what is the moral of the story? Have a rest day in between exercise to let the body recuperate.
So from now on I will still do my daily runs but exercise will happen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Once I've felt I've reached a certain plateau with my fitness then I will start to push harder.
All in all lesson learned or rather relearned.
And to anyone out there actually reading this, anyone got any healthy chicken breast recipes?

Song of the day: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk.

Quote of the day: got nothing today, sorry

P.S I do a whole song of the day and quote of the day because of something that I found inspirational in my day. Songs usually come from my mp3 while I run and the quotes from movies, cartoons I watch or games that I play.

  3. Chicken breast sprinkled with some of your favourite seasoning then oven baked is a good one. You can they chop it up and toss it through a salad, or with some stirfry vege (just use soya sauce for a bit of flavour and olive oil) and a small amount of brown rice is good for sustained energy.

Tonight I am treating the family by throwing a thanksgiving dinner with a roast chicken, veges and a pumpkin pie for pudding. Think I may need to start that run in the morning too.

You're doing great man! Keep up the good work. Mo also makes me do things like sideways shuffles, high knee lift runs and lunges in the middle of a run so maybe that might change things up a bit for you?
